Saturday 13th July


Alison Stedman spoke about her charity Nyumbani, followed by Hilary speaking about First steps Himalaya.

Each group was then set a task to plan a charity day for one of these charities

Groups 5 and 10 also discussed the production of RYLA sweatshirts or hoodies.

Friday 12th July

Very good weather again....what is happening to the Scottish weather?

Janet Lowe, a Rotarian from Dunfermline Carnegie

“When the winds of change blow some build walls and some build windmills”. Leadership is about positive change. Group discussion about different kinds of leadership in 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. Focus on 21st century as the “age of people” and how everyone can be a leader in today’s world."

The evening prize giving event
part 1 was the presentation of the Banners - each team described their banner







 The winning banner was from group 10.  The office staff judged it to be the best because it was bold and told the story of their week.  The office staff were really impressed with the standard of the banners and wished to congratulate everyone for their excellent work.




Then the overall winning team - team 3 with 42 points.  
Team 8 had 40 and team 1 had 41 points.

Thursday 11th July

The brilliant weather is still with us......the down side is that the girls are getting very tired.

Food!
breakfast was lorne sausage, hoops and hash browns, cereal and tea/coffee
dinner was pizza and chips

The speaker today was Gordon Whiteford of Highland Eggs who spoke about starting and running his own business. Highland Eggs can be found on Facebook.  Good luck to Gordon who gets married in 3 weeks time.

Another great day!  Cooler in the morning, but warmed up during the day.

breakfast was boiled egg with petite pan
Dinner: melon, chicken in creamy leak sauce with pasta, cheesecake

Tuesday 10th July

Another wonderful day - temperature was really good.

Breakfast: sausage, hash brown, beans, toast, coffee/tea

Dinner: BBQ beef with rice and salad.  Berry Jalousie

Programme for the day:

The speaker this morning was DG Jim Houston and Jim Young.  They spoke about Rotary and Rotaract.  We also had some of the girls speaking about Interact and what activities they do for charity and which charities they support.




10.15 to 1pm - The Abernethy Challenge
2pm to 3.30 - sports
4pm to 5pm swimming
